We all have that one sibling, unless you’re an only child, that really annoys us, the one that we want to leave us alone! But have you ever wondered what life would be like without them? It’d be horrible. There are times when you guys really connect, you guys are there for each other, and you guys really do love each other. Sometimes we take things for granted, like our siblings, but we shouldn't!
In A Summer to Die Meg and Molly are the typical, average siblings. They fight, there are jealousies between them, and they have those bonding moments. At first things seem okay, Meg makes friends, she has fun. Everybody is joyful. The worst problem doesn’t come until they move for the summer. That’s when Molly has to be hospitalized several times. Meg isn’t sure of what’s going on, she keeps on thinking that things will be the same soon, she wants to believe that things will return to normal. But they won’t, and that’s something she has to cope with. As summer progresses Molly gets worse. When the end finally comes, Meg remembers the good things, which helps her with her grief.
This story has made me value my family even more, especially my siblings! Anything could happen, even bad things… Yes, my family and I may fight, but at the end of the day we’re all there for each other, after all, we’re all we really have.
